Amazed.

I got a call a quarter to 6 today, Bjørn asking me if I could take a turn in the climbing hall today, open and put some heat on. Seeing as I had nothing better to do, I said ok, and went home to get my climbing equipment. Didn’t intend to use it, seeing I’m both blue, red, yellow and green on my behind after yesterday (read more later).
Around 6 BT arrived (one of the bf’s buddies from the ambulance), and a couple of minutes later, a 10 year old blind girl together with an older girl (a girl that takes Christin, as her name is, out once or twice a week, doing things).

Christin told me she had had bad sight since she was born, seeing she had a tumor on her brain, very close to the seeing-nerves. After an operation she had when she were 6 or 7 years old, she turned completely blind.

I have never met a girl that’s so… Natural and down to earth, taking so easy on things, takes to people so easily…
For Christmas she got a duvet-and-pillow-sheet, with her own name monogramed in, with blind-writing, so she could read it herself. That was her best present she said.

Seeing her climb up, the wall 3 times, the first time approximately 6 or 7 meters, the next time a little bit farther, then the 3rd time to the top so she could touch the roof. Imaginining myself doing the same thing, living in complete darkness.. She climbs up a wall, and you say things like “See, you got a good handle just to the right” See?? but she found them all, and it’s just like she could feel where they were the 3rd time.

I asked her what she wanted to become when she grew up. “Music teacher”. “I’ve played the flute for 3 years. The hardest thing is to remember, but I do my best.”

That’s what we all can do. Our best.

Although she’ll meet quite a few more challenges than us, but atleast she’ll do her best.

On to another matter.
Yesterday me, the bf, BT, his girlfriend Belinda and her son went skiing in a trek.
My first time with telemarkski’s. I haven’t skiied in 8 years or so, I’m a snowboarder within, but now I’m in doubt. I have a bruise approximately the size of a medium sized tomato on the left side of my bum, sore muscles all through my body. But I had so much fun trying to learn to stand and learn to turn with telemarkskis. XD

Though.. Ouch.

Did I mention it’s raining?? Yesterday it thundered on another island here. Didn’t affect me though. *lives in a pretty much thunder-free sone*
Whenever it’s thundering, it follows a pattern, ’cause of the mountains that “protect” us.

There’s a couple of places on the neighborisland that’s always getting the BIG thunderstorms.
Last year I were at one of them, and one of my colleagues were in a pole, working. And *LIGHTKABOOM!!*

Needless to say he almost..

I’m so disappointed right now. On my theory exam grade. Well, technically I’m disappointed in myself, since it’s MY grade, it were I who answered the test, so..

All year, I’ve had an average of above 5. Ofcourse, my teachers are not even teachers, and they know nothing about the practical theory (they’re all higher education theory-men with no understanding about the practical part of the theory, which I find more important than the theory-theory. XD)

Oh wow, quite a while since I updated last time.

So sorry about not updating about the Ireland trip, but stuff just piled up when I got back home.
I had a wicked time in Ireland, visiting Carla. Wonderful trip, meeting one of my best friends face to face for the first time. Don’t think we had any problems with communicating. After a day I started to THINK in English, so no problems there, really.

Here's just two posts combined in one. Read more here if you're interested. :P

I finally got to pick up my passport, after LONG searching for my old one. Today I decided to take the plunge and just check out the policestation and say that I were there to pick up my passport, and the lady-secretary just handed it to me. =) How nice doesn’t it look?? All red and shiny, but with a HIDEOUS picture of me in it. I honestly don’t look like my good self in it. :P But oh well. That’s life..

Friday, I had a peculiar day. I thought a lot about the people walking past me at work. I wondered where they were going, what they were going to do, how their day were. And last but not least, what they might think of me, working in a GIGANTIC ditch/hole (there’s a huge hole, atleast 50×50 meters, and 5-6m deep), and all our power cables that went over the parking lot that were above it. Cables and pipes (the cables went through the “pipes”).

I am good enough. You are good enough.

That was the message at the Norwegian “Wintermeet” Festival arranged by the local YMCA here a couple of weeks back. For Dag, it’s been a tradition to be a part of the technical crew. He’s been a part of it the last.. Oooh, I dunno.. 7 years?? Atleast…

Actually, the first time I remember seeing him, were on “Vintertreff” (as it’s called in Norwegian) during 9th grade. He showed up the Sunday, before..Read more...

So today has been a *sortof* eventful day, despite it being Sunday, and the clock just passed 12:30.

I've already spoke with the boyfriend about climbing today, I've given away my cheers at 43 Things, and actually started on the scrapbook I'm making for my boyfriend for Christmas (homg, yeah, what a girly gift.) The scrapbook will contain mostly his pictures (Some taken by me though), and just.. My ramblings.. Probably not a good idea, since he'll understand how DAMN insane I am. Or maybe I'll just buy him something, and save this until our *hopefully* 1 year anniversary next June. (If that ever happens. I see no reason why it shouldn't atm though).
